The bodies were lying in the streets un-buried. All railroads and vessels carrying food and such things into the great city had ceased runnings and mobs of the hungry poor pillaging.
Hi, my name is Kristen Chin Cheong.
I am a mom to my four old son, my couple dozen plants and my Toy poodle, Whiskey.
I have passion for everything green and sustainable living.
With my love for the environment, the country I live in, and working with the Hello Green Team, provides me a platform to spend my time working on projects close to the heart.
When not with the team, you can find me lying in a park or under a salamander tree or under our Caribbean Sun at the beach.
With a thirst for Science and drive for change, I look forward to learning and making more Environmental change with Mrs. Vandana Mangroo.
Hi my name is Videsh Boodhai.
I’m a proud past student of both pleasantville junior and senior comprehensive schools. My ideal day would be listening to 80’s music and relaxing at the beach.
As the warehouse manager and dispatch officer, it is my responsibility to deliver Hello Green products in a timely and efficient manner.
When I am not working and meeting our clients, I enjoy fishing with my friends and family, especially my son Ansil.
Vandana was born and raised in Debe, South Trinidad.
She left Trinidad at the age of 18 to attend university in Toronto, Canada where she studied Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Finance as well as Fine Arts.
In 2016, Vandana founded Hello Green Products – the sole authorized distributor of Vegware; the largest international brand of certified compostable food service packaging products. Hello Green was the first company to introduce compostable packaging to the Caribbean, and in so doing Vandana has worked extensively within the region to highlight the plight of single-use plastics and provide viable alternatives.
In 2018, Vandana was awarded the prestigious “EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Start-up)” by the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Today, Hello Green operates a showroom in Woodbrook and has over 200 customers in Trinidad and Tobago as well as distribution partners in Barbados, St.Maarten, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Antigua, and Dominica. In addition to managing Hello Green, Vandana also works with various government agencies and NGOs to develop and implement environmental sustainability policies and practices. Vandana also works closely with research bodies such as UWI and international independent labs, to explore the innovation of sustainable products made from waste such as Sargassum and other organic waste streams.
When she is not working, you can find her spending time with her most beloved puppy, Henry and her husband Nikolas who all enjoy the finer things in life such as a beautiful beach or Nature Trail.
